Hand knit cheetah print hat

I've just cast off knitting the cheetah print hat. There are still a few finishing touches to be added, but I think it can wait until tomorrow. I need to weave in loose ends and add a cute little knitted bow. But for now, I'm off to bed! The Cheetah Print Hat

My current project is to knit a cheetah print hat. This one is really fun and I'm loving the color combination! It also needs total concentration. If I'm off by one stitch, it will throw off the whole pattern. Shhh... I'm knitting! ;)

Fran's Hat

My friend Fran texted me this evening with a picture message to show off her newly finished hat. I think it's absolutely gorgeous! I just love the colors! She used Mary Maxim's Prism yarn which I've been meaning to try out. She created it with a simple k2p2 basket weave pattern for the bottom portion of the hat. I may have to run out and get some of this Prism yarn and knit up one of these colorful hats myself! When I received her text and saw this photo I just had to smile! This hat makes me feel happy!

Flat on my back with the flu

Looks like flu season is hitting late this year. And my family is being hit hard. I've been in bed for 2 days. My kids have been missing school and the hubby has had to work from home. So far he's the only one without any symptoms. So... What to do when I don't feel like getting up? None other than bits and spurts of knitting! Looks like I'll be finishing this hat tonight. Just cast on the day before yesterday and got it started while sitting in the waiting room at Urgent Care. I guess I could be reading a book when I can't sleep, but my hands want to knit!
